Week One Results: Blood Follows Rain

A couple of massacres during Week One -- and a nice comeback that needed an extra inning before it reached the FDA-recommended internal cooking temperature. DEC. 8, 2007: Nomads 30, 4U2NV 2 Hit Squad 19, Trojans 14 (7 innings) Green Monsters 33, Slackers 11 A few notes: * 4U2NV does not exist just for you to envy. They exist for you, too, Nevada. * Them Nomads look tough. Last year's home run champ was freakin' pitching for them. * The Trojans could not protect a lead. Punsters, have fun in the comments section. * Hit Squad has heart. On such a large team, great things will happen if the pecking order is decided by game skills. * The Slackers just want to say: Yil3an abu umm jamal sittek fi sitteen surmayeh! * The Green Monsters have reloaded. Come get us.

Good first week. Great to be back out there.
Congrats to those that came out victorious, may your ass be handed to you by the Nomads.
Monsters, it is you we want, and it is you were coming to get.

And yea, our captain is arrogant enough to put the champ at pitching.
Let the bullying begin

I DARE ANY TEAM to put thier CF/HR KING at pitcher and face the Nomads.

Shall we seperate the men from the PAMSY's?

We all know that pitchers can't hit and that was proven Saturday.

Nomads you will make it through this year undefeated, but ya'll will ring in 2008 with a good ole fashioned, take ya out behind the woodshed whippin brought to you courtesy of the "Evil Empire"

Freak, we will see who hands who their donkey, beating up on the NV 33-2?? It's called karma and it's coming for YOU.

Remember, ya'll went toe to toe with the champ for 3 rounds, unfortunately a Heavyweight title fight is 6 rounds and ya'll gotta have the stamina to go the distance.

Get ready boys cuz the "Monster Mash" is coming for YOU.

If I recall correctly Zoubi was 5 for 6 in that final game against the Nomads. Cancer? He saved the Traitors from an UGLY UGLY defeat. Yet they chose to abandon you. What a shame.

Zoubi its ok man, they might have won a championship or two or three but real champions dont give up on thier players/friends/whatever you want to call them, for the sake of winning.

As I told one of my players last season at a time when he was thinking of switching teams. I would rather lose with my team, my boys, my friends than win a championship with a bunch of strangers who happen to be a bunch of good players that come and go every year and to whom no one will remember. Guess what happened to that guy? He became last years HR Champ.

You are welcome on my team Zoubi.

Nomads are here to stay. Nomads are forever.

Rihani my man, you got alot to learn "Rook". :) Nice to see you in the league.

You will soon learn when the train is coming you get off the track or ya get ran over. CHOO CHOO

Massarweh.... 19-1 and DNF, need I say more?

The "We Will Crush You" Tour continues, coming soon to a field near you.

That sound you hear coming from the south is just the Monsters rolling along.

You stay with your strangers Foofoo44. You will eventually come to reason with yourself and RETURN to the Nomads, once your pool of talent leaves for wherever or whatever reason they have been leaving for every single season. At which point you will be struggling to steal or recruit players from wherever you can find them as usual.

The "Heart" of the Green Monsters and the Traitors for that matter knows that he himself is, was, and will always be a Nomad.

The road to success comes from being a Nomad. Plain and simple.

Nomads Forever.

FooFoo, first of all thanks for welcoming me in the League, but just to let you know, that 6 years of Baseball taught me well enough, and the NOMADS will be teaching this year, you better count on that....Back home in Lebanon, FooFoo is not such a manly name, It means sissy ...ya foofoo....we'll see who'll be laughing last....we might be friends off the field, but once you step on that sand, i don't even know my own blood.

Massarweh, I'm right behind you Captain....Proud to be a Nomads.

This is our year..

Well, that was the last straw.

We're going to see "Nomads III: The True Story" on the Slogs. Prepare to be lit up.

Mude my friend,

Bring it. You got nothin on us. You also have an unfair advantage of being the one and only person to upload video's to the Blog. Will the Nomads have the ability to respond in similar fashion? I wonder, and will wait and see.
